Enrique Chacon-Cruz, M.D., MSc, is a distinguished Pediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist hailing from Mexico. With a comprehensive educational background, he earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, USA, and a Master’s degree in Vaccinology and Drug Development from the University of Siena, Italy.

As the CEO and Founder of Think Vaccines, headquartered in Houston, Texas, Dr. Chacon-Cruz leads a research, education, and consultancy firm specializing in Vaccines and Vaccinology.

Dr. Chacon-Cruz’s prolific career is marked by over 140 research items published and/or presented at international meetings, as well as delivering over 500 lectures worldwide on vaccines, vaccination, clinical trials, and vaccine-preventable diseases. He has collaborated with esteemed institutions such as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (USA), the University of California (San Diego), the Gates Foundation, and others.

Notably, Dr. Chacon-Cruz is in the roster for the Scientific Advisory Group of Experts in Immunization (SAGE) of the World Health Organization, demonstrating his commitment to global immunization efforts. He is also actively involved in the Mexican Committee for the Elimination of Measles, Rubella, and Congenital Rubella, and serves on the Scientific Committee on Health Issues of the Mexican Government.

Previously, Dr. Chacon-Cruz held positions such as Director of the Mexican Active Surveillance Network for Bacterial Meningitis and Head of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Department at the General Hospital of Tijuana, Baja-California, Mexico.
